According to a survey in April 2013, the global retail price of LED light bulbs continued downward trend. Global retail price of LED bulb which can replace 40w incandescent seems to decreased 5.7%, to $16.1 .Global average price of LED bulbs which can replace the 60w incandescent, fell 1.2% in April, to $23.8. Except average prices of LED bulbs in Mainland and Taiwan marekt increased because of new product, the rest of the average basic maintain steady or go downward trend.
The price of LED bulb which can replace 40W incandescent bulb fell to below USD10 in China Market.
LEDinside said global retail price of replacing 40w traditional bulbs decreased about 5.7%, to $16.1 in April 2013. Britain and Germany region’s retail prices decline 5.3% and 5.3% respectively.Those two areas’ original prices declined significantl.The osram and Samsung ‘s LED bulbs’ prices go down obviously. There is no new products launched in those 2 areas. Price of LED bulbs in Japan which can replace 40W old bulb rose about 2.2%, part of rose prices is caused by the promotion season ending.
Prices in the United States average rose 3.7% in April. South Korea area’s prices fell 1.6% in April, no changes on price of the original commodity, but the actual prices fell due to the rising exchange rate. In addition, prices of LED bulb replacing 40W old bulb got down 9%, to $9.8, which is still the lowest in Global market, this is Mainly due to the sales promotion, and the price fell sharply.
And a sharp fall of prices in April in Taiwan to present 16.7%, the original commodity prices remain stable, mainly because of the new item price lead to lower average price down.
However, the price of LED Candle bulb is still stable till May.
