LED down light, a kind of LED lamp shining downward by embedded into the room ceiling, belongs to directional LED lamb. Only things opposite to it can get its shining. Its advantage is that it can better focus the light than common lamp and it is mainly used for common lighting or auxiliary lighting. With the development of LED technology, the lifecycle of current LED down light is over 50,000 hours. Obviously, LED down light has become well welcomed by the indoor light market.
This year, Industry planning to save energy for semi-conduct lighting was jointly released by the Six National Ministries. It explicitly requires that LED down light, spot light and other indoor lighting products and lighting system are encouraged to be applied in commercial lighting, industrial lighting, government and public lighting as well as other related areas by a series of publicity and promotion activities. This plan is a sign for LED lighting turning to indoor lighting application from outdoor lighting centralizing procurement.
The revenue of LED lamp has been dramatically climbing, as a main subsidy product for government bidding.
According to the GLII statistics, the total revenue for LED indoor lighting is up to 33.5 billion RMB in China in 2012, with a growth of 80% from last year, in which the revenue for down lamp is 4.2 billion with a growth of 85% than last year.
In 2012, LED indoor lighting has been developing at high speed. With more mature LED application technology, continuously improved quality and price deduction, as well as hard work of all LED enterprises, it is estimated that LED indoor lighting will keep the rapid development, which provide LED lamps good opportunities to develop.
