After more than ten years of development, LED lighting industry in China has made great progress. However, we should also note that there are a lot of enterprise in the pursuit of photosynthetic efficiency of myth. Admittedly, improving photosynthetic efficiency can make the brightness is high, but we want to know, lighting products by relying on nothing more than a luminous efficacy index is not enough, only fully meet the light, color, electricity, energy efficiency and safety requirements is the true sense of the lighting efficiency, so we should be more emphasis on the overall quality of LED lighting products.
So far, because the chip prices sharply lower, originally occupied cost start light source of lamps and lanterns is only 10% ~ 30% of the total cost, and other parts such as power and cooling each accounted for 35% ~ 35%. As a lighting products, lighting occupy such low cost structure is clearly worth our vigilance.
Investigate its fundamental, because before the chip price is too high, high power chip is as high as a few dollars a, to save cost, as little as possible with chip, to increase current way for improvement of the chip power, which is helpful. But, according to data at high current density, lamps and lanterns of low power supply voltage, current, power cost is high, the ac-dc power conversion efficiency is low, at the same time chip high working voltage, high temperature, lower efficiency and reliability also becomes poor, low phosphor light conversion efficiency.
For example, some LED light bulbs factories are using very bad low power light source whose price is very low to attract customers to buy their product. Actually it is a very dangerous action because the light decay is very high and the life will become very short.
